During a mountain storm, the Sage family’s route washes out and they descend into Ferlieview to wait it out. The town is warm, lit, and expecting them. By the time Benjamin understands that the welcome is a rule and not a kindness, the storm has closed every way back. To leave before sunrise, the family has to learn what the town wants — and what it is willing to keep.

Un misterio psicológico contenido. Una familia. Una noche. Un camino que quizá no esté por la mañana.
Durante una tormenta en la montaña, la ruta de la familia Sage se derrumba y bajan a Ferlieview para esperar a que pase. El pueblo está cálido, iluminado y los está esperando. Cuando Benjamin entiende que la bienvenida es una regla y no una amabilidad, la tormenta ya ha cerrado todos los caminos de regreso.
